"Trick or Treat!"

This is the first year daddy is here for Halloween and we're so excited! All dress up in her Cinderella costume, Cally was more than ready to go trick or treating. She's been too young to go door to door until now and she couldn't wait! We went over to our friends John and Linda's house and celebrated the night walking with our kids watching them "trick or treat" for the good stuff. Cally followed Leah mostly, who's a few years older than her, and together along with Erin and Johnny, John and Linda's other kids, they raided the neighborhood and got lots of goodies. Much to my surprise, Cally went up to every door and said "trick or treat" without hesitation. We had a great time and it was super fun to watch. Happy Halloween!

A Halloween Show

Cally's school put on a Halloween show for the parents and it was so wonderful to watch! She got to dress up and come to school in her Halloween costume, Cinderella (her favorite princess),  and perform along with all her classmates. They sang about 8-10 really cute short songs with hand gestures and after the show they walked around from classroom to classroom trick or treating for some goodies. She had a blast and I loved watching her. She's such a big girl now!

Pumpkins and More

Halloween is just around the corner and with all the pumpkin patches around town, Cally has really been wanting to go check them out. We took her to two different ones these past two weekends and she had a blast checking out all the pumpkins, going on pony rides, petting all the farm animals, going on train rides, getting her face painted, jumping in bounce houses, and much more. The weather has been absolutely beautiful and it's been wonderful to spend the weekends doing such fun stuff!

 Exhausted from all the fun!

Our Little Bean

Today was our first appointment with the Ob doctor to see our little one. From the minute you find out you're pregnant, until you actually see it on an ultrasound screen, it's hard to believe and those 4 weeks of waiting to confirm once again what you already know seem like an eternity! Good and bad thoughts flood your head, so it was so good to finally see our little bean in there growing. Zane was able to be there for this appointment and we both got to see our little one for the first time. I'm happy to report that everything looks great and baby is doing well. The doctor has given me a due date of May 23rd, 2012, which puts me at 7 weeks and 6 days gestation. Now that we've seen our new baby growing, it has become that much more exciting and we cannot wait to meet him or her! Here's a pic of our little bean!

Our New Toy

Even after the horrible accident in the desert, we knew that a toy hauler was just what we needed to go out and have fun on the weekends. So after searching for a few months we finally found one that fits our needs and budget! Instead of the desert, however, we decided to head up to the mountains for our first "camping" trip. We drove up to Big Bear and camped out for the weekend. It was pretty chilly up north, but we had a great time. We are definitely looking forward to more outings like this, especially since we're not completely roughing it, but still enjoying the wonderful outdoors!
