With the weather being so brutally cold, it's hard to find fun things to do. Nickelodeon can only do so much and it's nice to leave the house and do something new whenever possible. Since we can't really spend too much time, if any, outside I'm always looking for something different that we can do inside. When I found another children's museum nearby I couldn't pass it up. We had such a great time at the Denver Children's Museum last time that I knew Cally would love to spend the day at a place like that again. We discovered musical instruments, pirate ships, dinosaurs, dress up, a beach, a train station, a bank, and lots of science experiments. We had a great time, what a good way to spend the day!

Merry Christmas 2010
This year my mom had surgery just days before Christmas so I took charge of our traditional Christmas festivities. In our family, we always have a big Christmas Eve dinner and then open presents at midnight, so we did just that. I cooked a turkey and all the trimmings that come with it, decorated the table and had a blast taking over my mom's kitchen. Of course, she couldn't stay too far away, always asking me if I remembered this, if I had done that, etc. I found it a bit amusing, her need to be in control of the kitchen, but assured her that I had everything taken care of, after all I learned from the best. Dinner came out great and everyone enjoyed it.
It was a wonderful Christmas and I'm so glad we get to be with family during this time of year! Having Zane gone is that much harder during the holidays but being around family makes it so much better.
To my wonderful family: Thank you all for your wonderful support, I really appreciate all that you do for us! I don't know what I'd do without you guys! We love you!
Following dinner we opened presents and continued celebrating Christmas with some music and dancing. Cally loved opening presents and could not decide which toy to play with first! She was overwhelmed!

A visit from AZ
My sis and her family decided to fly up to Denver to spend time with all of us just before the holidays. They were here for just 4 days but it was a busy, and very fun 4 days. Between the Denver Children's Museum, basketball games, family dinners, downtown outings, and a mini Christmas, time flew by. It was great having everyone together again, catch up, and watch the kids play. Nick and Kaitlyn were great with Cally and she really enjoyed having them around. Thanks for coming guys! We love you!
