Merry Christmas 2010

This year my mom had surgery just days before Christmas so I took charge of our traditional Christmas festivities. In our family, we always have a big Christmas Eve dinner and then open presents at midnight, so we did just that. I cooked a turkey and all the trimmings that come with it, decorated the table and had a blast taking over my mom's kitchen. Of course, she couldn't stay too far away, always asking me if I remembered this,  if I had done that, etc. I found it a bit amusing, her need to be in control of the kitchen, but assured her that I had everything taken care of, after all I learned from the best. Dinner came out great and everyone enjoyed it.

Following dinner we opened presents and continued celebrating Christmas with some music and dancing. Cally loved opening presents and could not decide which toy to play with first! She was overwhelmed!

It was a wonderful Christmas and I'm so glad we get to be with family during this time of year! Having Zane gone is that much harder during the holidays but being around family makes it so much better.

To my wonderful family: Thank you all for your wonderful support, I really appreciate all that you do for us!  I don't know what I'd do without you guys! We love you!
